We will celebrate the festival of Christmas with three worship services. First, a Christmas Eve service will be held at the chapel at St. Clare Friedensheim at 4:00 p.m. Then at 6:00 p.m. at St. John's UCC, will be the traditional candlelight service including communion and special music.

On Christmas morning, celebrate the birth of Christ with a relaxed, family worship (wear your pjs if you'd like) that will include carols and a cookie communion.

Cantata

The holidays aren't complete without the joyous music of the season. Join us this Sunday as our Sanctuary Choir leads our worship in song as we celebrate the coming of Christ in lessons and carols.

A Brief History of The Christmas Story

A A four-week Bible study entitled "From Messiah to Jesus Christ: A  Brief History of the Christmas Story" will be held beginning Nov. 10.
Rev. Bates will lead the study which will focus on where and when the Christmas story comes together in the Bible. The group will explore Old Testament sources that tell of a coming Messiah and compare the birth narratives in Matthew and Luke. We will use several source books to help us understand the story we celebrate every Christmas season.
The class will be held on Thursday afternoons and evenings, Nov. 10 through Dec. 8 (no class on Thanksgiving, Nov. 24). Class times will likely be 4:30pm to 5:30pm and 7:00pm to 8:00pm but may change depending on participant's preferences.
